Top NDC Guru Exposes Dark Secret Of The Party

Mustapha Gbande, Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and Deputy Director of Operations at the Presidency, has criticised the growing tensions among some government appointees, warning that internal disputes could affect the performance of President John Dramani Mahama’s administration.

Speaking on Asempa FM, Gbande expressed concern over disagreements involving some ministers, their deputies and chief executives, arguing that the lack of cooperation among officials could hinder the government’s efforts to fulfil its promises to Ghanaians.

He observed that some individuals who contributed little to the NDC’s campaign efforts before it returned to power had now assumed influential positions but were becoming embroiled in disputes with other members of the government.

According to him, the situation could create frustration among party supporters who worked hard to secure the NDC’s electoral victory and expected those appointed to public office to prioritise governance over personal disagreements.

Gbande stressed that the people surrounding the President played a crucial role in determining the success of his administration. He cautioned that persistent divisions and a lack of teamwork among appointees could undermine Mahama’s leadership.

He explained that government officials appeared to be operating independently rather than coordinating their efforts, with some ministers reportedly at odds with their deputies.

Gbande questioned how party members who worked to bring the NDC to power would feel when those entrusted with government responsibilities were engaged in internal conflicts instead of working towards shared objectives.

He maintained that the President’s success depended not only on his own leadership but also on the commitment, unity and cooperation of the officials working under him.

The NDC executive’s remarks highlight concerns about internal cohesion within the governing party and the need for government appointees to work together to advance the administration’s agenda.
