JUST IN: Government Suspends the Following Activities in All Hotels in Kenya with Immediate Effect

The Kenyan Government has today announced a strategic suspension of a series of activities in all hotels strategically placed within the expansive Kenyan borders.

Addressing the public via Public Health and Professional Standards Principal Secretary Mary Muthoni on the 10th day of October 2026, the Kenyan Government has suspended the holding of meetings, seminars, and conferences in all hotels in Kenya.

The Kenyan Government has ordered all heads of directorates, as well as divisions and programs within the State Department of Public Health and Professional Standards, to stop holding meetings, seminars, and conferences in hotels strategically placed within the vast Kenyan borders.

The Kenyan Government has intimated that the strategic suspension takes effect immediately and will remain in force until further notice.

Giving a glimpse of the fundamental reason behind the strategic suspension, the Kenyan Government has intimated that the move has been taken as a precautionary measure to contain the potential acquisition and subsequent spread of the Ebola Virus.

In addition, the Kenyan Government has assured the general public that it has put in place strategic measures aimed at enhancing the country’s preparedness for the Ebola Virus.

It is essential for the general public to note that the Kenyan Government, through the Ministry of Health, Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale announced an imported case of the Bundibugyo Ebola Virus on the 6th day of October 2026.
