Stephen A. Smith announces the good and bad about LeBron James winning a fifth ring with 76ers
Stephen A. Smith has high expectations for LeBron James following his move to the Philadelphia 76ers over the summer.
LeBron’s move was perhaps a surprise to some, given the 76ers, at least in recent times, have struggled to reach the NBA Finals.
However, Stephen A. Smith is confident that the 76ers will be able to win James his fifth NBA championship.
In a clip shared by Legion Hoops on X, Smith stated that the ‘good news’ is LeBron will get another championship in Philadelphia.
He said: “This season or next season, the Philadelphia 76ers are gonna win LeBron James his fifth NBA championship. That’s the good news.”
But Smith followed that up by explaining the ‘bad’, pointing out that he still won’t have six championships and LeBron is only the second-greatest of all time behind Michael Jordan.
He continued: “Here’s the bad: It still ain’t six, baby. This man is the second-greatest player of all time. He is not the GOAT.
“He is the second-greatest player of all time. OK, number two behind a six-time champion, a 10-time scoring champion, a nine-time All-NBA First Team defensive player, the greatest closer in NBA history, who is Michael Jeffrey Jordan.”

LeBron made his preseason debut for the 76ers earlier this week, scoring 10 points in 18 minutes against the Brooklyn Nets.
Meanwhile, he is expected to make his proper NBA debut for Philadelphia on October 20 in a week one meeting against the New York Knicks.
