Commissioner orders resolution of six housing schemes’ issues

Rawalpindi  –  In compliance with the directions of the Lahore High Court, a hearing was held in the office of the director general Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), chaired by Commissioner Salman Ghani.

The hearing was attended by the owners and sponsors, legal representatives, and affected citizens of six housing schemes: Metro City Gujar Khan, Bahria Town, Mega City, Mumtaz City, The Avenue, and Top City.

During the proceedings, the commissioner listened to the concerns and grievances of the participants individually and reviewed the outstanding issues pertaining to each housing scheme.

He directed the RDA law officer to take immediate necessary legal action in accordance with the directions of the high court and ensure that the pending matters relating to the six housing schemes are pursued effectively for their timely resolution.

He further directed the RDA chief planner to take immediate and effective measures to resolve all pending issues and ensure timely action on the complaints raised by affected citizens. He emphasized that all matters must be addressed promptly and strictly in accordance with the directions of the court.

The hearing was aimed at facilitating the timely resolution of disputes and providing appropriate relief to affected citizens. The concerned authorities were directed to take all necessary steps to resolve the outstanding matters without further delay.

Additional DG RDA Masood Ahmad Bukhari, Chief Planner Muhammad Tahir Meo, Director Land Ghazanfar Ali Awan, and RDA law officers attended the hearing.
