Seth Rollins reveals reason Becky Lynch was out of in-ring action

During the most recent episode of the Rich Eisen show, Seth Rollins revealed the reason his wife – Becky Lynch was out of in-ring action, was because she had a small fractured vertebrae.

“It hasn’t really been made public, but she broke her back. She didn’t break her back, her back was broken. She had a little fracture in one of her vertebrae, so she was out of action. She couldn’t wrestle for six weeks or so. She just had her first match back last Monday on Raw against Liv Morgan and now she’s back in the mix. So I’m a little concerned about the back, but it seems like all is well.”

For most of this past Summer, Lynch was away from WWE programming, having last wrestling on the June 8 episode of Raw. Lynch made her return back at SummerSlam, revealing she wanted to regain the Women’s World Championship, after Liv Morgan retained over IYO SKY.

Stephanie Vaquer defeated Morgan for the Women’s World Title at a how show in Santiago, Chile back on September 12 with Lynch as the special guest referee. The finish saw Morgan hit the Oblivion on Vaquer. Morgan covered Vaquer, but Lynch stopped the three count and flipped off Morgan. Vaquer then hit Morgan with the SVB followed by the Vaquer Inferno to get the three count.

Lynch and Morgan competed on this past Monday’s Raw in a No. 1 Contender’s Match. However, after outside interference from Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez, the match ended with a disqualification. Vaquer had come down to thwart off the inference. After Lynch accidently took out Vaquer when trying to hit Morgan, Vaquer demanded a Triple Threat Match from General Manager Adam Pearce, who then came out and made the match official for Saturday’s Money in the Bank.
