A sacrifice to the great goddess Lindsay

A sacrifice to the great goddess Lindsay

We’ve got a Clancy copycat crime, and this one may be the worst of them all.

We’ve got a Clancy copycat crime, and this one may be the worst of them all.

On September 29, police in Charleston, SC discovered the bodies of Emory and Harlow Deacon, the two children of Justine May. Emory was 15 months old and Harlow nearly three years old. They had been deliberately starved to death by their own mother. She is being held on charges of homicide by child abuse.

The children had died three to five days before being found. They had been denied food and water for something on the order of two weeks.

The Charleston County Sheriff’s Department had, by their own admission, received 21 calls about May beginning on August 10. The department claims to have responded 13 times, but it’s hard to say what they accomplished. The sheriff himself said the kids looked just fine, right up to the day they died: "There were many times that we would go out to the home, an opportunity to see the children; they were doing well.” He’s promised to get to the bottom of it. "We are still looking at all of our processes, and there's still an investigation ongoing, and we are determined to get justice for those two children." So go on home – it’s in good hands. Nothing to see here.

Oh – they did arrest the children’s father when he tried to get in to see them. Got to give them that.

The same story is being told by the local family services agency, called the Division of Social Services (DSS). They’ve provided no details, but do we really need them? This is plenty:

"While applicable confidentiality provisions prevent DSS from providing specific information during an ongoing investigation, contrary to popular belief, DSS does not have the legal authority to unilaterally remove a child from their home and their parents’ custody under South Carolina law. Removal of a child from their home can only occur when law enforcement determines the child is in imminent and substantial danger and chooses to place the child(ren) into Emergency Protective Custody (EPC) or through a family court judge’s order."

That’s called “passing the buck,” if you’ve never encountered it previously.

May’s family had tried repeatedly to get her to allow them to see the kids, with no success.

One thing we do know is that May was something of an obsessive regarding the Lindsay Clancy case. She followed it closely, and made a number of sympathetic comments about Clancy on social media. (Her mother, in fact, referred to Clancy after the arrest.)

It all dovetails. Incompetent authorities accusing each other. No official means of rescuing the kids. Relatives kept at arm’s length with no recourse. The estranged husband dragged off and booked for “harassment.”

And at the center of it all, the goddess Lindsay, who murdered her own kids, nearly got clean away with it, and is now the icon of every sick puppy seeking to imitate her.

It’s enough to make a rat gag. One thing we know, though, is that it won’t stand. People – the mass of people, not the officials or influencers or activists – take this kind of thing only to the point where they don’t any longer. Nobody is going to settle for a society in which women kill their own children with impunity. Eventually, things are going to break. The neighbors will not take no for an answer. The families will take action. The estranged father will kick the door in, even at the risk of his life. And God forbid that the bureaucrats and LEOs try to get in the way.

We’ve just about reached that point. It can’t be soon enough for me.
