Turkish Super Lig Table After Galatasaray Won 3-1

According to a report by BBC Sport on Friday, October 9, 2026, Galatasaray claimed a 3-1 victory over Kasimpasa in the Turkish Super Lig, overcoming a second-half red card to secure all three points.

The hosts took the lead just before half-time when Abdulkerim Bardakci found the net in the 45th minute, converting an opportunity created by Aleksey Batrakov. The goal gave Galatasaray an advantage heading into the break after a closely contested opening period.

However, their task became more difficult in the 65th minute when Lucas Torreira was sent off, leaving Galatasaray with ten players for the remainder of the match.

Kasimpasa quickly capitalised on their numerical advantage, with Jesurun Rak-Sakyi equalising just three minutes later to make it 1-1. The goal put the visitors in a strong position to challenge for a result as pressure mounted on the home side.

Despite being a player down, Galatasaray continued searching for a winner and were eventually rewarded in the closing stages. Baris Alper Yilmaz restored their lead in the 90th minute, giving the hosts a crucial advantage when a draw appeared possible.

Mario Lemina then sealed the victory by scoring in the sixth minute of stoppage time, completing a 3-1 win and sparing Galatasaray any late uncertainty.

The result moves Galatasaray to the top of the Turkish Super Lig standings, giving them a three-point advantage over second-placed Amed Sportif. Kasimpasa, meanwhile, fall to ninth after failing to take advantage of their numerical superiority following Torreira’s dismissal.
