The insider said: “All the King can talk about right now is this book and everything it’s dredged up. He’s enraged and can’t believe that there was nothing that could be done to stop this.”

The source further alleged that the controversy has affected Charles’s appetite and sleep, leaving him constantly on edge about what might emerge next. According to the insider, the King is like a ticking time bomb as he worries about further allegations.

Meanwhile, Queen Camilla is reportedly trying to support her husband through the controversy. However, the source suggested that she is also struggling with her own emotions amid the renewed scrutiny. “She feels attacked too. The whole atmosphere is very toxic,” the source added.
