Kennedy Agyapong Called Me On Phone – NAPO Reveals The Conversation He Had With Agyapong

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh has clarified the circumstances surrounding his recent phone conversation with Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, dismissing rumours that he intends to abandon Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s camp ahead of the NPP presidential primaries.

During an appearance on For The Records, a Facebook Live show hosted by Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah, Dr. Prempeh stated that the call had been personal and should not be interpreted as a political realignment.

He explained that Agyapong had reached out to him, and their discussion centred on issues of mutual concern. He firmly denied reports suggesting that he was preparing to switch his support to Agyapong.

Dr. Prempeh reiterated his loyalty to Bawumia’s camp and said his main objective was to help strengthen unity within the NPP as the party prepares for the 2028 general elections.

He emphasised that party members should work together, build a strong political foundation, and be prepared to rally behind the candidate chosen by the delegates.
