FIA arrests five line superintendents of Mepco
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) ​​Sahiwal has arrested five Line-Superintendents of Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) for having government transformers repaired at a private workshop, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
According to FIA spokesperson, MEPCO employees allegedly had government transformers repaired at a private workshop.
The FIA ​​Composite Circle, Sahiwal, raided a private workshop in Gulberg Town.
It was revealed that government MEPCO transformers were being repaired at a private workshop.
The Special Judge Central, Faisalabad, had dismissed the accused’s pre-arrest bail pleas.
The accused failed to secure bail from the Lahore High Court as well.
The FIA ​​arrested five Line Superintendents in connection with case No. 02/2026.
The arrested individuals include Muhammad Tahir, Umar Rasheed, Shafqat Hussain, Hassan Rauf, and Zafar Iqbal.
Repairing government transformers at a private workshop allegedly caused a loss of millions to the national exchequer.
Further investigation into the case by the FIA ​​is underway.
