Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates face off this Saturday in the final of the MTN8. Can Downs end Bucs’ dominance?

The two giants will meet for the first time this season, with Sundowns aiming to end Pirates’ recent dominance in cup competitions.
Miguel Cardoso’s side will be determined to claim the trophy, and the Sundowns head coach is expected to stick with a strong starting XI for the final.
In goal, captain Ronwen Williams is expected to start, while Thabang Matuludi could come in at right-back in place of the injured Khuliso Mudau.
Grant Kekana could partner Khulumani Ndamane in the heart of the defence, with Aubrey Modiba expected to start at left-back.
In midfield, Teboho Mokoena is likely to line up alongside Marcelo Allende, while Nuno Santos could operate in the attacking midfield role.
Tashreeq Matthews is expected to start on the left wing, with Antonio van Wyk potentially occupying the right flank.
Up front, Brayan Leon is expected to lead the line as Sundowns look to overcome Pirates and lift the MTN8 trophy.
The Brazilians have already claimed a trophy this season and will look to assert dominance over the Buccaneers having lost to them in the Nedbank Cup and MTN8 in the 2023/24 season.
