JCP to consider extension of Sindh HC constitutional benches
ISLAMABAD – The Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) will meet on October 13 to consider extending the tenure of the constitutional benches of the Sindh High Court.
According to a statement issued by the JCP secretary on Thursday, the meeting will be held in the Conference Room of the Supreme Court. The current tenure of the Sindh High Court’s constitutional benches is due to expire on October 25. The meeting has been scheduled following the resignations of Farooq H. Naek and Sheikh Aftab from the Judicial Commission. Constitutional benches in the Supreme Court and the high courts were established following the enactment of the 26th Constitutional Amendment.
