Bandits:20 Were Shooting And Asked About Me,My Wife Said I Traveled,1 Searched My Boys Quarter-Bello
Abdulkadir Bello, whose pregnant wife was among victims abducted in Alrahuz Estate, Kaduna Millennium City, has recounted how about 20 armed men broke into the boys’ quarters while searching for him before taking his wife and three other people away.
Bello said the gunmen invaded the estate while shooting and immediately demanded to know his whereabouts from his wife. He said she informed them that he had travelled, but one of the attackers was not convinced and insisted on searching the boys’ quarters to determine whether Bello was hiding there.
Speaking during an interview on Trust TV on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, Bello said the attackers eventually broke into the boys’ quarters but could not find him. He said the gunmen then told his wife that he was their main target before abducting her and other victims.
“There were about 20 of them and they were shooting and asked my wife about my whereabout. She told them that I had traveled but one of them insisted on searching the boys quarters to see whether I was hiding there. They broke into the place but did not find me.”
According to Bello, the attackers did not leave empty-handed after failing to find him. He said they proceeded to take his pregnant wife and three other victims, including a little girl, from the estate.
“They told her that I was their main target. They took my wife and 3 others including a little girl,” Bello said.
