Heavy Rain Expected In Most Parts of Kenya Starting on This Date as Kenya Met Issues a Warning
Several parts of Kenya are expected to receive rainfall as the country continues to experience changing weather conditions, with residents in a number of counties advised to remain alert.
According to the latest weather update, rainfall is expected in parts of West Pokot, Siaya, Elgeyo Marakwet, Bungoma, Kakamega, Nakuru, Trans Nzoia, Kericho, Kisii, Homa Bay and Kisumu.
Other areas likely to experience rainfall include Mandera, Wajir, Marsabit, Nyandarua, Meru, Nyeri, Embu, Kirinyaga and Tharaka Nithi. Along the Coast, residents in Kwale, Mombasa, Kilifi and Lamu have also been listed among areas where rainfall is expected.
The forecast comes as different parts of the country continue to record varying weather patterns, with some regions experiencing rainfall while others remain relatively dry.
At the same time, residents in Turkana, Samburu and Marsabit counties have been warned to expect strong southerly to southeasterly winds. The winds are expected to exceed 25 knots, equivalent to about 12.5 metres per second.
Such winds can affect outdoor activities, road users and communities in exposed areas, particularly where there are temporary structures, trees or unsecured objects.
Residents are therefore encouraged to follow official weather updates and take necessary precautions whenever conditions become severe. Those living in areas expecting rainfall should also remain cautious of slippery roads, reduced visibility and possible disruptions to normal activities.
The latest update provides an important reminder for Kenyans to pay close attention to changing weather conditions, especially as rainfall patterns continue to vary across the country.
