Americans to face fines for throwing away batteries under state’s December 1 law
GARBAGE sorting is set to become more important than ever for Americans in one US state once its newest law takes effect in just weeks.Officials across the state are warning residents to heed the warning, or face fines as high as $500 from municipalities.North Carolina House Bill 600 from the 2023 legislative session will take effect on December 1, more than three years after becoming law.
