Following the IG’s directives, letters have been sent to all relevant officers, including additional inspectors general, deputy inspectors general, senior superintendents of police and superintendents of police.
The officers have been directed to submit details of their assets for the 2025-26 financial year by October 30.
Under the new system, the previous manual process for submitting asset declarations has been discontinued, and government officers are required to submit their financial information digitally through the FBR portal.
Officers are required to declare their sources of income, bank accounts, properties and investments, as well as details of movable and immovable assets owned by themselves and their spouses.
The declarations will also include information about vehicles, shares, prize bonds and other valuable assets, along with domestic and foreign bank accounts.
Officials will have to disclose their own sources of income as well as the income of their family members. Details of children’s education, educational institutions and related expenses will also be required.
The declaration will further cover utility bills, including electricity and gas expenses, spending on private foreign trips, bank loans and other liabilities.
Officers will also be required to explain any changes in the value of their assets compared with the previous financial year.
The authorities have also sought details of officers’ social media accounts and information regarding any foreign citizenship or permanent residency.

Corrections to submitted asset declarations can be made until November 30, 2026, subject to approval from the relevant cadre administrator.
