Slap After Slap — The Viral Video That Finally Exposed Nana Akua Addo’s Pain

Ghanaian fashion icon Nana Akua Addo is at the centre of a painful domestic violence storm after disturbing videos of her and her daughter allegedly being beaten by her husband surfaced online.

In one video that has gone viral since Monday, October 5, 2026, a little girl is seen sitting on the floor while a man believed to be her husband, Harold Norman, repeatedly slaps her.

Nana Akua’s voice is heard in the background screaming in tears. She shouted:

“Kill my child for me. The same way you slap me is the same way you slap your sister. Woman beater, kill us, I won’t allow you to kill my child.”

According to reports, the fight started after the man allegedly slapped their daughter. Nana Akua tried to defend the child, and that led to a big confrontation.

In a second video, Nana Akua is seen receiving medical treatment. Her face is swollen, her lip is big and bleeding. Fans say she was taken to the hospital after the alleged assault.

The actress and Norman have two daughters together. They did a private civil wedding in 2022. In the past, they have spoken about problems in their marriage.

After the videos spread on X, Facebook and Instagram, Ghana Police, through the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU), arrested Harold Norman.

On Tuesday, October 6, a Facebook video showed him in handcuffs being taken to the police station. The police are still investigating.

Another video also shows the husband pointing at Nana Akua and accusing her of cheating during their marriage. The allegations are still unverified.

The videos have caused outrage. Many women are sharing their own stories.

One user wrote: “This is the painful reality many married women are silently living with. No love, no peace, just endurance. Marriage should be a place of love and safety, not where a woman has to fight for her life and her kids.”

Others are telling Nana Akua to leave the marriage and save her life and her children first.

Meanwhile, Nana Akua Addo’s lawyers have asked all media houses to stop sharing the videos, especially the one showing the minor. They said the videos were shared without her consent and asked the public to respect her privacy and that of her children.

This is still an alleged case. Police have not released official charges yet.
