Bank of Ghana warns against taping, gluing damaged cedi notes for resale

The Bank of Ghana has warned the public against taping, gluing or otherwise repairing damaged Ghana Cedi banknotes for re-issuance.The warning follows a video circulating on social media showing individuals repairing torn and soiled notes with adhesive tape as a business activity.“Do not tape, glue, staple, re-join or otherwise attempt to repair damaged banknotes for re-issuance or recirculation,” the Bank said.
