Gladys Wanga Issues Update on Oburu’s Health After Visiting Him at Nairobi Hospital

According to Homa Bay Governor and ODM national chairperson Gladys Wanga, ODM leader and Siaya Senator Oburu Oginga is recovering steadily after recent concerns over his health.

Wanga provided the update after visiting Oburu on Tuesday evening, October 6, saying she found the veteran politician in good spirits. Her remarks came as uncertainty surrounding his condition continued to generate discussion on social media.

“My PL Dr Oburu is recovering steadily. I was with him this evening and he is in high spirits. We continue to pray for his full recovery,” Wanga said.

The governor’s statement followed an earlier update from ODM communications director Philip Etale, who sought to reassure the public that Oburu was doing well after visiting Nairobi Hospital for a routine medical check-up.

Etale said he had spoken with the ODM leader and urged members of the public to be cautious about unverified reports concerning his health.

Oburu has recently attracted increased public attention following his return from the United Kingdom, where he travelled for medical checks. The Siaya senator had previously explained that the trip was undertaken on the advice of his doctors and also provided an opportunity for him to rest.
