Another Senior Teacher Caught With A Female Student in Class

Professor Ibrahim Taiwo, a senior lecturer, has come under public scrutiny following the circulation of a video on social media that allegedly shows him in the company of a female student.

The footage has attracted widespread attention and triggered calls for the circumstances surrounding it to be properly investigated. However, neither the authenticity of the video nor the claims being made about it has been independently established.

There are also reports circulating online that the lecturer has previously faced allegations from students over alleged inappropriate conduct linked to academic favours. Those claims remain unproven, and Taiwo has reportedly denied any wrongdoing.

Some social media posts have further identified the woman in the video as a married student, although that description has not been independently confirmed.

The institution where Taiwo is reportedly employed has yet to publicly comment on the matter. It is also unclear whether authorities within the institution have opened an internal investigation or whether any law enforcement agency is examining the allegations.

The controversy has renewed discussion about professional conduct in higher education, particularly the need for lecturers to maintain appropriate boundaries with students and for institutions to provide credible channels through which complaints can be reported and investigated.

Amid the growing online speculation, observers have urged the public to avoid reaching conclusions based solely on unverified material. They have instead called for any formal inquiry to establish the facts while ensuring that the rights and reputations of everyone involved are properly protected.

Attention is now focused on whether the institution will issue an official statement and whether a formal investigation will be launched into the allegations surrounding the viral footage.
