Security forces kill 18 militants in North Waziristan and Mastung operations

Security forces have killed 18 militants in two separate intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces and recovered heavy ammunition from their custudy, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.

According to security sources, security forces conducted a successful intelligence-based operation in North Waziristan, eliminating 13 Khawarij terrorists.  

The forces successfully targeted the hideouts of Fitna-al-Khawarij in North Waziristan and surrounding areas. 

Maintaining constant surveillance on the movements of Fitna-al-Khawarij, the security forces launched a decisive operation against them. 

Under the ‘Azm-e-Istehkam’ vision, security forces remain committed to the complete eradication of terrorism and the establishment of lasting peace.

Meanwhile, security forces conducted an operation against terrorists in the Siapush and Killi Gashtari areas of Mastung, eliminating five terrorists. 

According to security sources, a large quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the neutralized terrorists. Clearance and search operations are currently underway to eliminate any remaining terrorists in the area. 

Security force operations will continue with full intensity until the complete eradication of terrorists from Balochistan.

Meanwhile, terrorists belonging to Fitna-al-Khawarij attacked on Shadi Pur Police Post in Kohat which was thwarted and police launched robust counter-attack.

Kohat police personnel displayed courage and bravery, launching a strong counter-attack and repelling the assault.

The police personnel stood their ground against the terrorists’ heavy gunfire and delivered an effective response. 

The police’s counter-action inflicted heavy losses on the terrorists.

However, four police personnel were injured in the exchange of fire; they have been immediately shifted to the hospital, and their condition is reported to be out of danger.

Following the failed attack, a search and strike operation is underway to pursue the terrorists, while security measures have been further tightened.

The Kohat Police remain committed to protecting the lives and property of the public and will not hesitate to make any sacrifice to maintain law and order.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi commended security forces for successful operations against Kharijites in Mastung and North Waziristan.

The Interior Minister praised the professional capabilities of the security forces for eliminating 18 Indian-sponsored terrorists.

In his message, Mohsin Naqvi “I am proud of the brave sons of the security forces who thwarted the nefarious designs of the terrorists”. 

Mohsin Naqvi said the actions of the security forces reflect the resolve to safeguard national security.

“I pay tribute to the brave sons of the homeland,” Mohsin Naqvi said.

He said the nation stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the security forces in the war against terrorism.

Operations against Fitna-al-Hind and Fitna-al-Khawarij are proceeding with full force and will continue, Mohsin Naqvi said.
