NCCIA Islamabad holds awareness seminar on cyber fraud, online harassment

ISLAMABAD  –  The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Islamabad  held an awareness seminar to educate citizens about growing cyber threats, including online fraud, harassment, cyber scams and illegal activities through suspicious call centres.

An NCCIA official told on Tuesday that participants attended the seminar physically, while a large number of people from different communities, universities, educational institutions and the general public joined online.

The seminar focused on major cyber challenges, including:

FIA shifts pre-departure facilitation desk to Islamabad Airport for passengers

Suspicious Call Centres: Awareness about illegal activities being carried out through suspicious call centres.

Online Harassment: Guidance on risks related to harassment through online platforms.

Financial Fraud and Cyber Scams: Awareness about different methods used by fraudsters to deceive people and cause financial losses.

Illegal Online Activities: Information about unlawful activities in the digital space and the need for responsible use of online platforms.
