A school coach was seen aggressively restraining a cursing student against a wall after an argument broke out over the Arizona school’s bathroom policy.

Destiny Kilby’s son, another student at the school, recorded the video of the incident, which took place the morning of September 25, AZ Central reported.

Kilby sent the video to the outlet to raise awareness about what she believes was unfair treatment of the schoolboy by the staff member.

The mother told the outlet that the student’s behavior did not warrant this treatment.

‘My message is: It’s not OK to hurt children,’ Kilby said.

‘You’re a teacher, you’re a coach. You’re supposed to be a trained professional to deal with those situations. If you can’t deal with that situation, get out the kitchen.’

According to her, the argument erupted over the school’s bathroom policy.

The video, taken by Kilby’s son, shows a staffer, wearing a shirt which says ‘coach’ on the back, pinning a student into a corner against the walls.

The student can be seen attempting to grab the man’s face while fighting back.

He can be heard yelling: ‘You think I’m f***ing playing with you? You gonna wrap your hands around my neck, b****?’

Following the explosive ordeal, the principal of Shadow Mountain High School sent out a letter to parents.

The letter read: ‘An allegation of misconduct involving a staff member physically restraining a student has been brought to our attention, and an investigation is currently underway. We are working closely with the Phoenix Police Department to thoroughly review this matter.

‘The staff member under investigation has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.’

The staff member in the video was back on campus shortly after the notice was sent out, the outlet adds.

‘It appears as there are more confrontations which take place,’ said Jaime Molera, Arizona’s former Superintendent of Public Instruction in a conversation with the outlet.

According to Molera, altercations between staff and students are not isolated and have increased in the years since the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Daily Mail has reached out to the Shadow Mountain High School for further comment.
