Kenyans With Safaricom Lines Receive Good News as Company Makes This Major Announcement

Safaricom has shared a simple way for M-PESA customers to request a review of their Fuliza limits, offering relief to Kenyans who feel their current borrowing limits are too low.

In a recent social media update, the telecommunications company directed customers to use the M-PESA USSD menu to refresh their Fuliza limits. Customers can dial *334#, select the Fuliza option and choose “Refresh My Limit” to trigger a review.

The update has attracted attention among M-PESA users, particularly those who depend on Fuliza to complete transactions when they do not have enough money in their accounts.

However, Safaricom has clarified that requesting a review does not automatically guarantee an increase. The review is handled through an automated process, with a customer’s limit determined by factors linked to their usage and repayment behaviour.

Fuliza is an overdraft service that allows eligible M-PESA customers to complete transactions despite having insufficient funds in their wallets. The facility has become widely used by Kenyans for emergencies, household expenses, transport and other daily needs.

Safaricom’s terms indicate that Fuliza limits can be reviewed from time to time and may be changed depending on a customer’s credit assessment. The company also considers information from the customer’s use of Safaricom services and repayment history when determining the available limit.

Customers have previously been advised to maintain regular M-PESA transactions and repay outstanding Fuliza balances on time as part of responsible use of the service.

The latest information is therefore likely to interest thousands of Kenyans hoping to access more funds through Fuliza.

For customers who want their limits reviewed, the process is straightforward: dial *334#, select Fuliza and choose the option to refresh the limit. After the assessment, Safaricom will communicate any changes to the customer.

The move comes as demand for accessible digital credit continues to grow among M-PESA users across the country.
