Add ARY News on GoogleFollow on Google DiscoverImage Credit Radio PakistanAAResizeISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Ulema Council Maulana Tahir Ashrafi has urged Pakistanis living in Saudi Arabia not to share pictures, videos or rumours related to drone attacks on social media, ARY News reported.

In a video statement, Tahir Ashrafi said Pakistani citizens should fully comply with Saudi laws and the instructions issued by the Saudi Interior Ministry.

He urged Pakistanis to avoid sharing unlawful comments and unverified information about the situation in Saudi Arabia.

Tahir Ashrafi called on Pakistani citizens to act responsibly and exercise caution amid the sensitive situation.

He specifically advised against sharing pictures of Houthi militants attacks, efforts to intercept the attacks or debris from the incidents.

He also urged Pakistanis not to share videos of security installations or sensitive locations on social media.

Ashrafi said sharing information about sensitive locations or incidents is against Saudi laws and security instructions.

He said Saudi Arabia is Pakistan’s brotherly country and the land of the Two Holy Mosques.

Meanwhile, the Strategic Political and Defence Committee of the Makkah Alliance held its meeting in Riyadh under the Makkah Agreement, with the participants discussing the security situation and threats facing Saudi Arabia, the Foreign Office spokesperson said.

Retired Lieutenant General Nauman Mahmood was appointed as the first Secretary General of the Makkah Alliance for Defence for a three-year term.

The parties welcomed the appointment of Lieutenant General (retd) Nauman Mahmood and expressed their best wishes for his success. They also expressed confidence in his role in promoting the alliance and achieving its objectives.

The committee strongly condemned attempts to target Makkah and Madinah and denounced continued attacks on Saudi cities, civilians and economic installations.

The participants rejected any attack or threat against the security and territorial integrity of Saudi Arabia.

Pakistan and Turkiye praised the readiness, professionalism and high capabilities of the Saudi Armed Forces. They also appreciated the Saudi military’s ability to counter threats and attacks and protect the security and territorial integrity of the country.
