Gachagua Leaves US Church in Laughter After Revealing What Would Happen If Dorcas Left Him

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua left congregants laughing during a church service in the United States after making a humorous remark about his wife, Pastor Dorcas Rigathi.

Speaking at PCEA Tumaini Church in Springfield, Massachusetts, Gachagua explained how he handed over the management of his businesses to his children after becoming Deputy President so he could focus on serving Kenyans.

He then joked that after giving up control of his businesses, he was left with only his wife, adding that he would be “finished” if she ever decided to leave him. The remark prompted laughter from the congregation.

Gachagua used the light-hearted moment to speak about family, parenting and the importance of preparing children to take responsibility from an early age.

He encouraged parents to involve their children in family decisions, investments and development projects, saying such experiences can help young people learn how to manage responsibilities.

The former Deputy President also spoke about mentoring young leaders, citing Nyandarua Senator John Methu as an example.

He recalled giving Methu the responsibility of coordinating a DCP campaign in Ol Kalou, allowing him to take charge of the assignment and gain experience in leadership.

The humorous moment came as Gachagua continues his engagements in the United States alongside his wife, Pastor Dorcas. His visit has included meetings with members of the Kenyan diaspora as well as political and community engagements.
