Chris Brown’s Baby Mama Diamond Brown Wants Nearly UGX 180.5 Million a Month in Child Support
Chris Brown’s baby mama, Diamond Brown, is asking the court for a jaw-dropping US$45,000 (roughly UGX 180.5 million) every month in child support for their daughter, Lovely.
Diamond says the hefty monthly figure is necessary to cover the cost of raising their daughter, as well as the household expenses she says come with caring for her.
According to court documents, Diamond is seeking about US$23,000 (UGX 92.3 million) every month for rent and household costs, while another US$20,000 (UGX 80.2 million) would go toward Lovely’s education, healthcare and extracurricular activities.
And the list of expenses gets even more specific.
Diamond says Lovely’s monthly needs include approximately US$3,500 (UGX 14 million) for childcare, US$500 (UGX 2 million) for clothes, US$2,000 (UGX 8 million) toward college savings, US$2,000 (UGX 8 million) for gifts, US$350 (UGX 1.4 million) for haircuts, and US$1,500 (UGX 6 million) for art and sports activities.
But Diamond isn’t just asking for more money for their daughter… she’s also seeking a bigger home.
She claims Chris currently pays for her to live in a four-bedroom, three-bathroom house, but says she now needs an upgrade to a property costing around US$15,000 (UGX 60.2 million) a month.
Diamond also says Chris currently gives her US$7,000 (UGX 28.1 million) in monthly spending money, on top of paying her utilities and previously buying her a Tesla.
Still, she argues that what she’s receiving isn’t enough to cover her and Lovely’s monthly expenses and is asking the court to turn the support arrangement into a formal order.
The filing comes after Diamond also requested primary custody of Lovely and an increase in child support. She has further accused Chris of allegedly harassing her and her new boyfriend, claims the singer has denied.
With nearly UGX 180.5 million a month now on the table, the child-support battle could become a very expensive courtroom showdown for the superstar.
