“I couldn’t eat because of 10 Naira”- Lady recounts

‎A Nigerian lady identifed as @TDeisine has shared a heartbreaking account of how 10 naira left her starving , which has gone viral online. ‎ ‎In a widely circulated post, the lady disclosed that she was the sole Catholic in her neighbourhood.

‎ Meanwhile, she returned home from church, while her neighbours had already set out for church. ‎ ‎According to the lady, she was out of garri and resorted to prepare oil rice which she discovered her matches had finished. ‎ The X user noted that she could have purchased items from other shops while heading home, but she was not familiar with the shop owners, whereas the nearby shops were closed. ‎ As a result, she stayed until 1.p.m. for her neighbours to return from church and borrowed matches to turn on her stove.

Meanwhile, the tweet, which has gone viral, has drawn reactions from X users sharing their views.
