According to reports, Diego Khumalo, the son of South African football legend Doctor Khumalo, is enjoying a memorable chapter in his life as he works toward building a football career of his own while carrying the prestigious Khumalo family name.

The 22-year-old is developing his football abilities under the guidance of Farouk Khan at the Stars of Africa Academy, where he is continuing his journey with ambitions of following in the footsteps of his celebrated father and grandfather, Eliakim “Pro” Khumalo.

Diego recently marked his 22nd birthday with an elegant celebration at Signature Restaurant in Sandton, one of Johannesburg’s most prestigious dining destinations. The occasion was shared publicly by his mother, Nolly Blanche Garises, Doctor Khumalo’s former wife and a former Air Namibia flight attendant.

Garises posted a video on Instagram showing her son enjoying the special occasion at the upscale restaurant. Diego was seated in a private dining area alongside his mother and one of his close friends as they celebrated his birthday in a relaxed and sophisticated setting.

The birthday celebration offered fans a glimpse into the personal life of a young footballer who continues to attract attention because of his famous family background.

Doctor Khumalo remains one of the most respected figures in South African football history. The former Kaizer Chiefs star enjoyed an outstanding career at both club and international level and became widely recognised for his technical ability, creativity and goal-scoring contribution.
