Dengue prevention drive stepped up across Islamabad

ISLAMABAD – Citizens across Islamabad have been urged through mobile phone messages to eliminate stagnant water, keep water containers covered and protect themselves from mosquito bites.

Dengue prevention messages sent to Islamabad residents. According to official sources, as part of intensified dengue prevention efforts in the capital, the awareness messages were disseminated to mobile users to encourage public participation in preventing mosquito breeding and reducing the risk of dengue transmission.

They added the District Health Office urged residents to keep their homes and surroundings clean, remove standing water and cooperate with dengue surveillance and vector control teams.

Health authorities emphasized that timely preventive measures and active community participation were essential to controlling dengue and protecting public health in the capital.
