I Went To The UK When Buhari Was Sick, One Of The Doctors Told Me Buhari Will Not Survive-Babachir Lawal

Speaking during an interview on Symfoni, former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, recalled his visit to the United Kingdom when late former President Muhammadu Buhari was receiving medical treatment, saying he also visited the hospital where Buhari was being treated.

Lawal said one of the doctors at the hospital was his former friend and neighbour from his time in the United Kingdom, adding that he met the doctor when he went to the hospital for his own medical check-up and was told about the seriousness of Buhari’s condition.

According to Lawal, the doctor expressed doubt about Buhari’s chances of surviving the illness and told him to look for another president, recalling the conversation as part of his experience during the period Buhari was receiving medical treatment in the United Kingdom.

In Lawal’s words: “Let me tell you, I went to the UK when Buhari was sick. I went to the hospital. Luckily, one of the doctors at the hospital where he used to receive treatment was my friend. We used to be neighbours when I was in the UK. One day, I went for my own medical check-up, and the doctor told me, ‘Go and look for another president. Buhari will not survive.'”
