Shamakhokho forex trader steps out of mud house to challenge claims that Luhyas cannot trade

According to a report by K24 Digital on Sunday, November 8, 2026, a forex trader from Western Kenya has challenged claims that there are no successful traders from the Luhya community.

The trader, identified as Mishuzi and popularly known as Shamakhokho FX Trader, recorded a video outside a mud-walled house while responding to comments questioning whether people from Navakholo and Mumias were making money through forex trading.

In the video shared on TikTok on Saturday, November 7, Mishuzi directly addressed a person identified as Malcom, who had questioned the presence of successful forex traders from the region.

He described himself as the flashiest forex trader in Mumias and said he wanted Malcom to see that Luhyas were also succeeding in the industry.

Mishuzi also showcased the laptop he uses to monitor the financial markets, claiming it had a special opening mechanism that distinguished it from ordinary computers.

He went further to describe the lifestyle he associates with his trading activities.

According to the report, he claimed he was wealthy enough to sip juice while trading and had several vehicles at his disposal.

However, the video showed an electric bicycle parked nearby rather than a collection of luxury cars. The recording also featured the mud-walled house and older-looking electronic devices.

His presentation appeared to imitate the flashy social media content associated with some Kenyan forex personalities, who regularly showcase expensive cars, gadgets and other symbols of wealth.

The video has brought attention to the debate about forex trading within Western Kenya and the tendency of online personalities to use lifestyle displays when presenting their financial success.

However, Mishuzi’s claims about his wealth and trading earnings have not been independently verified.
