Secret Directives Issued to Chiefs in Ruto’s Game Plan to Secure Re-Election in 2027

The state has reportedly rolled out a new strategy that will see chiefs and their deputies take a leading role in promoting the government’s agenda at the grassroots and specifically spearheading campaigns for the Head of State His Excellency President William in his re-election bid.

Through Interior Principal Secretary (PS) Raymond Omollo, it has now emerged that the ruling Kenya Kwanza administration has issued the directives to the chiefs, to stop the habit of only greeting people and sitting down, and instead use every public platform to highlight what the government has achieved.

Specifically, Raymond Omollo directed the chiefs to take advantage of gatherings such as community meetings, church services and burial events to highlight to the electorates about government policies and development programs.

While giving the directives, Raymond Omollo affirmed that government officials should not let members of the opposition be the only ones shaping public conversations, but they should be on the frontline drumming up support for the government of the day.

Under the new directive, chiefs and their assistants are now expected to speak about at least one or two key achievements of the government whenever they are given an opportunity to address the public.

The move is being viewed as part of a broader plan by the Kenya Kwanza government to strengthen support for President William Ruto’s second term ambition.
