‘Pesa Otas’ How Much Ruto’s Family Paid to Stay at the Luxury Mwanza Hotel
The Malaika Beach Resort in Mwanza, Tanzania has become popular due to hosting President William Ruto and his family during his daughter Charlene Ruto’s wedding to Tanzanian businessman Isaya Yunge.
The couple said their vows in a garden setting and celebrated with family and guests at the beautiful resort, which sits on the edge of Lake Victoria. The resort has plenty of space for everyone to enjoy.
This resort offers hotel facilities but also has several leisure and events areas. This includes 50 rooms and suites, with executive and deluxe rooms. There are three places to eat and drink; Malaika Restaurant, Mawimbi Restaurant and a pool bar.
There is also an infinity pool to swim in with beautiful views across the lake. A private beach, spa, and gym are available. Families can also visit the family centre with their children.
The resort also has great facilities for events. The outside lawns can fit up to 4000 people for weddings, while there are also indoor function rooms and conference facilities fitting up to 3000 people. This means the resort can host weddings, conferences, and events.
However, the resort can be pricey to stay at. Rooms are priced around $154-$200 per night. This equals to around KSh 20,000- KSh 26,000. Prices will vary depending on what room you pick and the season.
Charlene’s wedding made the resort more popular in the public eye. However, the resort is beautiful with a lake side view, private beach, and restaurants. It would be a great place to stay for a relaxing break or to host an event. Guests can enjoy a peaceful break by the lake.
The event also brought attention to the Kenyan-Tanzanian relationship. Members from both families and guests visited Mwanza.
