Mike Sonko Releases CCTV Footage Allegedly Showing Nyambura Mburu Meeting City Lawyer at Westlands Airbnb
According to the former governor, Mutai booked the accommodation for October 17 and 18, with CCTV cameras capturing movements of the individuals who reportedly accessed the room.
The footage allegedly shows Mutai heading towards Room 301 at approximately 3:04 pm on October 17.
At around 4:05 pm, Nyambura Mburu reportedly checked into the apartment before being captured on CCTV walking towards Room 301 at 4:16 pm.
The footage further shows Nyambura allegedly leaving the room at approximately 7:05 pm, while Mutai was captured leaving at 7:17 pm.
Sonko also raised questions about the personal details allegedly provided during the booking process, claiming that the phone number and national identity card information contained incorrect digits.
He challenged detectives to establish whether the discrepancies were innocent mistakes or deliberate attempts to conceal the identities of those involved.
The release of the CCTV footage comes amid investigations into the tragic house fire that killed Nyambura’s two daughters, Angel and Wambo.
The circumstances surrounding the fire, including the events leading up to the tragedy, remain a subject of public interest.
However, the claims made by Sonko and the contents of the CCTV footage do not, on their own, establish wrongdoing by the individuals captured. Investigators are expected to establish the circumstances surrounding the Airbnb booking and whether the meeting has any connection to the children’s deaths.
