IF You Rug My Election, Call Me A Bastard If They Don’t Do Burial In Your House – APC’s Oseni Warns

According to report by Nigerian Tribune on Sunday, November 8, 2026, the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial candidate for Oyo South, Hon. Remi Oseni, has cautioned politicians and their supporters against engaging in electoral malpractice during the 2027 general election, warning that anyone who attempts to manipulate his electoral victory will face serious consequences.

Oseni issued the warning on Sunday while addressing youths from various churches of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) during an interactive session in Ibadan, Oyo State.

Speaking about his senatorial ambition, the lawmaker disclosed that several anointed men of God had prayed for him and given prophecies concerning his political journey and anticipated victory.

He said the spiritual assurances had strengthened his confidence, adding that he found it difficult to believe that anyone could successfully manipulate the election against him.

Oseni also warned individuals planning to use violence, weapons or other unlawful means to disrupt the electoral process, particularly through the destruction of polling units.

Quoting the Bible, he declared: “The Bible said, ‘Steps of the righteous are ordered by God’. If God ordered our steps, we’ll be where we are supposed to be.”

He further cautioned that those who attempted to frustrate the prophecies through electoral violence would face divine punishment.

According to him, anyone who tries to manipulate the outcome of his election would have serious consequences to contend with.

“If you rig my election, they will do burial in your house. If you rig my election, call me a bastard if they don’t do burial in your house,” Oseni declared.

The APC candidate is expected to face a competitive contest for the Oyo South Senatorial District seat in 2027.

Among his major challengers are Chief Bolanle Sarumi-Aliyu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Hon. Adedeji Stanley Olajide, popularly known as Odidiomo, who is contesting under the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).

The election is expected to generate considerable political interest as the candidates seek voters’ support across the nine local government areas that constitute Oyo South Senatorial District.
