Charlene Ruto’s Wedding Video Emerges Showing Her Frustration With Heavy Security Presence
A video showing Charlene Ruto expressing frustration over the heavy security presence during her wedding to Tanzanian businessman Isaya Yunge has emerged, attracting attention from social media users.
The footage captures a moment during the couple’s wedding ceremony in Mwanza,Tanzania, on Friday,November 6,2026.
Charlene is seen walking hand in hand with her newlywed husband as they make their way alongside her parents,President William Ruto and First Lady Rachel Ruto.
However, the attention shifts to the security officers surrounding the couple as they proceed during the ceremony.
Charlene appears uncomfortable with the number of officers standing close to them and gestures towards the security personnel while attempting to make a request.
She is seen trying to explain that some of the people approaching them are their photographers who were capturing important moments from the wedding. The officers, however, remain close to the couple as they continue walking.
President William Ruto, who is walking a few steps ahead with his wife, notices his daughter’s reaction and responds with hand gestures that appear to encourage her to calm down.
Charlene nevertheless appears determined to express her concerns, with the video capturing her pointing out that the security presence is excessive and affecting the freedom of movement around them.
The brief interaction has attracted interest because it offers a glimpse into a more personal moment involving the President’s family during an otherwise grand wedding celebration.
The security arrangements surrounding the event had already attracted attention before the ceremony.
Tanzanian authorities increased police deployment across Mwanza ahead of the wedding because of the high profile guests expected to attend.
Additional officers were deployed to different parts of the city, including hotels accommodating visitors and areas around Lake Victoria.Police patrols were also strengthened to ensure the safety of guests and residents.
The wedding took place at Malaika Beach Resort, bringing together prominent political figures, family members, friends and other invited guests from Kenya and Tanzania.
The newly emerged footage has added another talking point to Charlene and Isaya’s wedding, which attracted widespread attention because of its elaborate preparations and the presence of influential guests.
