William Ruto Shares Emotional Message to Charlene After Her Wedding to Isaya Yunge

President William Ruto has shared a heartfelt message to his daughter, Charlene Ruto, following her wedding to Tanzanian entrepreneur Isaya Yunge in Mwanza, Tanzania.

The wedding took place on Friday, November 6, 2026, bringing together members of the two families, close friends and prominent political leaders from Kenya and Tanzania.

Ruto and First Lady Rachel Ruto played a special role in the ceremony, escorting their daughter down the aisle before she exchanged vows with Isaya.

The President’s appearance alongside Charlene attracted attention, particularly during the emotional moment when he formally handed her over to her husband.

The wedding marked an important milestone for the Head of State’s family, with the President witnessing his daughter begin a new chapter in her life.

In his earlier message during the couple’s traditional engagement ceremony in August, Ruto expressed pride in Charlene and promised that he and Rachel would always stand by her.

He also prayed for God’s blessings upon the couple, asking that their marriage be filled with love, friendship, joy and lasting peace.

The President’s message reflected the emotional experience many parents go through when their children begin independent family lives.

Charlene and Isaya’s wedding attracted considerable attention, with photographs and videos from the ceremony circulating widely on social media.

The couple exchanged vows during an outdoor ceremony at Malaika Beach Resort, overlooking Lake Victoria.

Charlene wore an elaborate white wedding gown featuring floral decorations and a long veil, while Isaya appeared in a tailored wedding outfit.

Several senior Kenyan leaders attended the celebration, including National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula, Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen, and Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi.

The white wedding followed their traditional Kalenjin Koito ceremony held in Kilgoris, Narok County, on August 8.

As congratulatory messages continue to emerge, Charlene and Isaya begin married life with blessings from their families and well-wishers.
