Samira Bawumia’s Boy Clashes With NDC, Claims Party Has Not Introduced Any Impactful Policy
A heated political exchange has reportedly erupted after Samura Bawumia’s Boy took aim at the National Democratic Congress (NDC), questioning the party’s record in introducing policies that have made a meaningful impact on Ghana since 1992.
In a strong criticism of the governing party, Samura Bawumia’s Boy argued that the NDC had failed to demonstrate a significant policy achievement capable of transforming the lives of ordinary Ghanaians over the years.
He reportedly maintained that despite the party’s long history in government and its repeated promises to improve the country’s economy and living conditions, Ghanaians had yet to see what he considered an impactful policy introduced by the NDC since the beginning of the Fourth Republic in 1992.
His comments have sparked political debate, particularly among supporters of the NDC and the New Patriotic Party (NPP), who have consistently disagreed over which political party has delivered more meaningful development to Ghana.
The NDC has governed Ghana during several periods since 1992, implementing different programmes and policies in sectors such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, agriculture and economic development.
However, Samura Bawumia’s Boy’s remarks suggest that he remains unconvinced by the party’s achievements and believes its contribution to national development deserves greater scrutiny.
The comments are also likely to attract reactions from NDC communicators and supporters, who may challenge his assessment by pointing to policies and projects implemented under previous NDC administrations.
The debate comes amid continuing political competition between the NDC and NPP, with both sides seeking to defend their records and convince Ghanaians that they have better ideas for the country’s future.
Neither the criticism nor the competing political arguments should be mistaken for an established assessment of the NDC’s policy record.
