Hogbetsotso 2026: Mahama commissions Ghana EXIM Bank to develop 10,000 jobs in Weta

President John Dramani Mahama has announced plans to establish a light industrial area dedicated to textile and garment manufacturing in Weta, in the Volta Region, with an expected 10,000 jobs to be created when the project reaches full capacity.Speaking at the grand durbar of the 2026 Hogbetsotso Festival in Anloga, the President disclosed that the Government has commissioned Ghana EXIM Bank to commence work on the project after securing 200 acres of land for the development.
