Gov Fubara Joins Wike to Welcome President Tinubu, VP Shettima and Other APC Leaders in Rivers

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima have arrived in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign rally.

According to a media post by Honourable Stanley Kingsley Nkwocha, the Media Aide to the President, on Saturday, November 7, 2026, the presidential delegation was received at the Port Harcourt International Airport by several political leaders and government officials.

Among those who welcomed the President and Vice President were Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara; FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike; Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin; and Governors Bassey Edet Otu of Cross River, Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta, Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos and Douye Diri of Bayelsa State.

Also present were senior government officials, APC leaders and other prominent political stakeholders.

The arrival of the President and his entourage attracted enthusiastic supporters and party faithful, who gathered around the airport and major streets of Port Harcourt to welcome the visiting leaders.

It was revealed that the city witnessed colourful displays, cheering crowds and celebrations as preparations intensified for the APC presidential campaign rally.

The visit brings together key political figures from the South-South and other regions to participate in the party’s campaign activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
