Ghanaian Celebrities Moved To Tears As Young Dressmaker Reveals Mother Died Before Her Graduation

According to a report by Ghbase News on Saturday November 7, 2026, Ghanaian celebrities, including actress Fella Makafui, rappers Kweku Smoke and YPee, and musician Mr Drew, have joined several well-meaning Ghanaians to offer support to a young dressmaker whose emotional graduation story has touched the hearts of many social media users.

The young woman recently attracted widespread attention after sharing a heartbreaking account of losing her mother before completing her dressmaking training.

Her touching experience has generated an outpouring of sympathy, encouragement and financial support from people who have been moved by her determination to achieve her dreams despite the painful loss.

In a TikTok video that has since gained attention online, the young graduate recounted how her late mother had repeatedly expressed fears that she might not live long enough to witness her daughter’s graduation.

According to her, her mother had spoken about the possibility of passing away before the special day arrived.

Unfortunately, that painful fear became a reality when she died before her daughter could complete her training and celebrate the milestone with her.

Despite the devastating loss, the young woman remained determined to finish her dressmaking programme.

After successfully completing her training, she returned to her village carrying graduation envelopes, hoping to share the good news with her family and loved ones.

However, the achievement came with mixed emotions. While she had every reason to celebrate her success, the absence of her mother made the occasion particularly painful.

The person she had desperately wanted to see her graduate was no longer alive to witness the moment or receive one of the envelopes.

Her emotional narration quickly resonated with social media users, many of whom expressed sadness over the loss and praised her for remaining committed to her education despite the difficult circumstances.

The story also caught the attention of several Ghanaian celebrities, who publicly reached out to the young graduate and offered to support her.

Actress Fella Makafui was among the first public figures to respond, requesting the young woman’s mobile money details so she could extend a helping hand.

“Please drop your momo number,” Fella Makafui wrote in the comment section of the viral video.

Rapper Kweku Smoke also joined the conversation, offering words of encouragement while playfully asking the graduate to send him one of her graduation envelopes.

“Bebiaa be fine Ohemaa. Send me my envelope,” he commented, expressing his support for the young woman.

Musician YPee equally reacted to the emotional story, sympathising with her over the loss of her mother and requesting her mobile money number.

“So sorry, what’s your momo?” YPee wrote.

Mr Drew and several other Ghanaians have also joined the growing number of people expressing their willingness to support the young woman following her heartbreaking experience.

The reactions have highlighted how a personal story shared on social media can bring together people from different backgrounds to support someone going through a difficult period.

For the young dressmaker, completing her training represents an important achievement and the beginning of a new chapter in her life.

Although her mother was unable to witness the occasion, the growing support from celebrities and ordinary Ghanaians has brought her encouragement at a time when she is still dealing with the pain of her loss.
