Charlene Ruto Receives Heartwarming Welcome From Father-in-Law After Lavish Wedding in Tanzania
Charlene Ruto has received a touching message from her father-in-law, Solomon Waigwa, following her white wedding to Tanzanian entrepreneur Isaya Yunge in Mwanza, Tanzania.
Waigwa publicly welcomed Charlene into the family through a heartfelt message shared after the couple exchanged their marriage vows on Friday, November 6, 2026.
In his message, Waigwa congratulated his son and his new daughter-in-law, expressing his happiness and affection as the two families celebrated the union.
He first addressed Isaya, telling him how much he loved him before congratulating him on marrying a beautiful woman.
“My Son, I love you. Congratulations to you and your beautiful wife from the Lord above,” he wrote.
He then turned his attention to Charlene, extending a warm welcome as she officially became part of the family.
“Charlene, welcome to the family; this is the day that the Lord has made!” Waigwa added.
His message attracted attention because of its warmth and the special bond it reflected between the groom’s family and the newly married couple.
Waigwa was among the family members who travelled from Nairobi to Mwanza to attend the wedding. He also led the groom’s family delegation ahead of the celebrations.
The father-in-law had previously expressed his happiness about the relationship during the couple’s traditional Koito ceremony held in August 2026.
During the traditional event, he described the experience of walking alongside Isaya as his father as a blessing and a source of joy.
Charlene, the daughter of President William Ruto and First Lady Rachel Ruto, exchanged vows with Isaya during a beautiful ceremony overlooking Lake Victoria.
Her parents attended the occasion, with President Ruto and Rachel accompanying their daughter as she walked down the aisle.
Charlene wore an elegant white gown featuring floral lace details, long sleeves and a flowing skirt, while Isaya looked stylish in an ivory double-breasted tuxedo jacket.
The white wedding followed their traditional Koito ceremony held on August 8 at President Ruto’s Intonna Heritage Farm in Kilgoris, Narok County.
The celebrations marked another significant milestone for the couple as they began their married life.
