PSL Reveals Carling Knockout Quarter-Final Details in Major Announcement

The plans for the 2026 Carling Knockout Cup quarterfinals have been revealed by the Premier Soccer League (PSL). Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns, AmaZulu, Stellenbosch FC, Sekhukhune United, Golden Arrows, and Siwelele FC are the eight teams currently vying. They are all vying for a spot in the semifinals.

There is one modification to the schedule. The Sundowns vs. Golden Arrows game was scheduled to take place at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, ahead of the other games. The start time was 19:00. Golden Arrows have already demonstrated this season that they can pose difficulties for the Brazilians, despite Sundowns’ home advantage.

Some of the top personalities in the local game compete in the remaining three quarterfinals. Siwelele FC will be hosted by Kaizer Chiefs. Wandile Duba scored a hat-trick as Amakhosi defeated TS Galaxy 3-0 to advance to the round of eight. Orlando Pirates, the reigning champions, will play Sekhukhune United in an attempt to continue their trophy defence. AmaZulu, who have been playing well under head coach Arthur Zwane, will take on Stellenbosch FC.

The football schedule has been impacted by the local government elections, and multiple league games have been rescheduled. This has made it possible for the cup competition to gain prominence. On November 7, Sundowns will play USM Alger in the CAF Super Cup, another continental encounter.

The final will take place on December 12, 2026, with the semi-finals scheduled for November 21 and 22. The Chiefs seek to capitalise on their previous success, the Pirates want to maintain their crown, and the Sundowns want another domestic trophy. The knockout system gives AmaZulu, Stellenbosch, Sekhukhune, Siwelele, and Golden Arrows an opportunity to defeat the more powerful teams.

Before making travel or ticket arrangements, fans should wait for the PSL’s final confirmation of the remaining match details.
