NPP Made A Big Mistake – They Should Have Picked Justice Dotse, Not Bagbin – Adomako Baafi

The NPP is now paying for its own mistake. That is what Yaw Adomako Baafi is saying.

According to him, the NPP should have chosen Justice Dotse as Speaker of Parliament instead of Alban Bagbin.

And looking at what is happening in Parliament today, many people are starting to agree with him.

When Alban Bagbin was chosen as Speaker, the NPP thought it was a smart move. They thought it would bring peace. They thought it would show maturity.

But what did they get? A Speaker who has become their biggest headache.

Time and time again, Bagbin has taken decisions that have gone against the NPP. Time and time again, Parliament has turned into a battleground. Time and time again, the NPP has been left crying foul.

Adomako Baafi says this could have been avoided if the party had chosen its own man — Justice Dotse.

Justice Dotse is a respected judge. A man of law. A man of discipline. A man who understands the constitution and will not play politics with it.

Adomako Baafi believes if Justice Dotse was Speaker, Parliament would have been orderly. Decisions would have been fair. The NPP would not have suffered the embarrassment it has suffered under Bagbin.

Justice Dotse would have protected the House. Bagbin, according to Adomako Baafi, has used the House to punish the NPP.

This is the painful part. The NPP had the numbers. The NPP had the chance. But they gave the Speaker’s seat to the opposition.

It was like giving your enemy the key to your own house. And now the enemy is locking you out of your own rooms.

Adomako Baafi says the party must learn from this mistake. Never again should the NPP give away such a powerful position to someone who will use it against them.

Politics is not about being nice. Politics is about being smart.

You don’t give power to someone who will use it to destroy you. You keep power where it will protect you.

The NPP chose Bagbin to look good. Today, they are looking bad.
