Justice Lifu’s Intention Is To Deregister ADC,The Target Is Atiku & The Sokoto Rally We Held-Okonkwo

Speaking during an interview on Channels Television, Kenneth Okonkwo, spokesperson for ADC presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, expressed concern over the legal developments surrounding the African Democratic Congress, ADC, alleging attempts to undermine the party through the judiciary.

Okonkwo questioned the intentions of Justice Peter Lifu, claiming that the judge appeared determined to deregister the ADC without a justifiable reason, while raising concerns about the possible use of the judiciary to pursue political interests rather than uphold justice and fairness.

The ADC spokesperson also linked the situation to the party’s recent rally in Sokoto State, describing the gathering as a historic event that attracted significant attention and unsettled the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, while emphasising that it represented more than an ordinary political rally.

In Okonkwo’s words: “Justice Peter Lifu has clearly indicated his intention to deregister the ADC without reason. The target here is Atiku Abubakar. The APC is trying to use the judiciary to achieve political motives rather than uphold justice. The target here is also the Sokoto rally we held, which shocked and shook the APC to its core. Let me tell you something: the Sokoto rally was not just a rally; it was a historic journey.”
