I Hear My Friend Obi Is Back In The Country After Sneaking Out To Have A Rest,We Warned Him–Shettima

Vice President Kashim Shettima has taken a swipe at the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, over his recent comments and claims, saying the former Anambra State governor has lost the goodwill he once enjoyed.

In a video shared by Channels Television, Shettima made the remarks during the APC presidential rally in Akwa Ibom State, where he called on residents to vote for the ruling party in the 2027 presidential election.

The Vice President said he heard that Obi had returned to Nigeria after travelling abroad to rest. He claimed that Obi had avoided arriving through Lagos and Abuja but insisted that the NDC candidate had damaged his public image through what he described as lies and misleading statistics.

Shettima added that Obi no longer attracts the excitement he once enjoyed, claiming that his recent public statements now attract criticism instead of support. He also said Obi had been warned that his actions could lead to such a situation.
