We don’t sit in our rooms and produce figures – Global Info Analytics

The Chief Executive Officer of Global Info Analytics, Mussa Dankwa, has dismissed suggestions that polling firms generate survey results from their offices without undertaking extensive fieldwork.

He said such perceptions undermine the considerable effort and resources required to conduct nationwide surveys, citing his firm’s recent exercise involving nearly 32,000 respondents across Ghana.

Speaking in an exclusive interview monitored by The Ghana Report with MyNewsGh, Mr Dankwa disclosed that the exercise was completed in less than 10 days, highlighting the firm’s capacity to collect data on a large scale within a relatively short period.

“If you give the same job to others, it takes six months. We took days, in fact, we took roughly less than 10 days to interview close to 32,000 people across every MMD. That is massive,” he said.

He made the comments while discussing the operations of research organisations and addressing public perceptions about how polling figures are obtained.

Mr Dankwa further challenged critics who question the credibility of polling results to appreciate the extensive fieldwork involved in gathering information.

“So, to those who think you sit in your room and you report, I mean, figures and all that,” he said.
