Trouble For NDC, Mahama’s Party To Lose 29 Seats In 2028—NPP Coming Back Strong—Global InfoAnalytics

A new report from Global InfoAnalytics says the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) will lose 29 seats in the 2028 elections.

The report was released today, November 3, 2026, by the Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, Mussa Dankwa. It is their first projection using their MRP model for 2028.

In 2024, NDC won big – 185 seats. NPP got 88 seats. 4 independent MPs joined NDC.

NDC will drop from 185 seats to 154 seats. That means they will lose 31 seats, but the report says 29 seats net loss after calculation.

NPP will move from 88 seats to 100 seats. That is 12 seats gain.

It means Ghanaians are already getting tired of the NDC government. Just two years after winning power, people are saying NPP is coming back.

The report says if NDC does not deliver on its promises – jobs, low cost of living, and fighting corruption – they will lose their big majority in Parliament.

For NPP, this is good news. After losing badly in 2024, a gain of 12 seats shows the party is recovering. The youth who shouted Yɛgye Yɛ Sika today are part of that recovery.

For NDC, it is a warning. Power is sweet, but if you fail the people, they will take it back.

2028 is still far, but the message is clear: No seat is safe.

If elections were held today, NDC will still have majority with 154 seats, but NPP will be stronger with 100 seats. The battle for Parliament has just started.
