South Africa responds to being expelled from AGOA

Trade and Industry Minister Parks Tau says the imminent expulsion of South Africa from the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) does not mark the end of trade with the United States.While the programme is important to South Africa, Tau said it accounts for only 1% of the country’s total global exports, and a minority of those to the US itself.
